Particularly remarkable is one section (the "Vulture Text") in which each of the 42 nomes of Egypt is identified with a vulture. The language is poetic; the lines are often clearly organized into verses. The subject-matter, dialogue structure, and striking phraseology raise many issues of scholarly interest; especially intriguing are the possible connections between this Egyptian work, in which Thoth is called "thrice-great", and the classical Hermetic Corpus, in which Hermes Trismegistos plays the key role. The first volume comprises interpretative essays, discussion of specific points such as the manuscript tradition, script, and language. The core of the publication is the transliteration of the Demotic text, translation, and commentary. A consecutive translation, glossary, bibliography, and indices conclude the first volume. The second volume contains photographs of the papyri, almost all of which reproduce their original size.

It is probably the best book you could ever buy in so few pages on the subject of success. I have have read every book Napoleon Hill wrote that is available, and this is the shortest one yet that will give you a great understanding of the "Big Five" principles of success mandatory for any real success in life. I also really liked the introduction by Dr. Charles Johnson of South Carolina and his story of how Napoleon Hill impacted his life as a young boy. A refreshing recap (and then some) of Napoleon Hill's previous books. It's been awhile since I've read TAGR and OTD, so this was a nice compliment to add to my repertoire. It was 100% worth reading even if you've read his others.The LIVE aspect of the book makes it a more textured read as well. It flows a bit different.
Great short work from the Napoleon Hill Foundation. This is one of my favorites from the Napoleon Hill collection. In the collection of audio tapes, Hill does a great job laying out his five major principles outlining the collection, yet the book feels very much like a conversation with the dialogue between Hill and the radio host he is doing these broadcasts with. Hill's short chapters are solid throughout the book. His final major principle, "Creative Vision," does a great job tying up the five principles of the broadcasts and leaves the reader inspired, motivated, and ready to hear more from Hill.
I absolutely agree with the work with extra miles. As I have experienced it myself by giving my extra miles to the job I am working on and the return came later from other that different from the job I give the service. Thanks, Dr. Hill.

"What a scandal! What a calamity!" Someone has spotted a mouse in the ultra-chic Park Snoot Hotel. Everyone else says it ain't so. Says Simon the doorman, "Do you see a mouse? I do not see a mouse"-a refrain echoed by other hotel employees and guests. Delighted youngsters, however, will squeal "Yes!" as they spy the mouse on the subsequent pages of this predictable yet engaging tale by the creator of the Lyle Crocodile books. The mouse can be seen riding atop a pile of luggage on the bellman's cart, nibbling a piece of cheese in the kitchen, peeking out from a napkin on a waiter's tray, helping the conductor direct the hotel orchestra, etc. Though the hotel owner, too, denies the existence of the rodent, he decides to put everyone's mind at ease and hires the world's foremost mouse-catchers to "look into this beastly matter." In lively slapstick style, Waber shows the debonair mouse looking on as the identically mustachioed, bowler-hatted Hyde and Snide search high and low, finally certifying (and double certifying) that there is no mouse in the hotel. Even more than his lighthearted text, Waber's droll cartoon art delivers the humor here. Ages 4-8.

Kindergarten-Grade 2?When a mouse is spotted at the highbrow Park Snoot Hotel, all of the employees and guests emphatically deny its existence. But, just to put everyone's mind at ease, the exterminator team of Hyde and Snide is brought in, and then the fun really begins. Very easy to read, with lots of repetition ("Do you see a mouse? I do not see a mouse"), the book is ideal for beginning readers, who will love their own miniature, less complicated version of "Waldo." The uncluttered pictures with lots of white space make finding the endearing rodent challenging but not frustrating, and are a perfect accompaniment to the simple text. The adult characters are amusing in their denial of the presence of varmint, but it's the impish little mouse who steals the show here.?Trev Jones, School Library Journal

Children, on the other hand, won't have to look too hard to find the pesky mouse, who manages to appear in almost all the humorous cartoon illustrations. The first half of the story is too repetitious (15 characters repeat the same three sentences), but with the addition of Hyde and Snide, the second half picks up nicely. Children will enjoy looking for the mouse, though the creature is so tiny in the pictures that the book won't work well in a group story time. Lauren Peterson
